Pst won't connect to phone

hey there. well i decided to try and mod my phone. i've been following the howard forum guide and i managed to dl everything it said to dl. i got my computer to recognize my phone, i downloaded mobile phone tools and it connect to that fine. But when i tried to use Motorola Phone Support tools (pst) it cannot find my phone. is there anyway to trouble shoot this?

also, when pst was trying to find my phone, my computer said it found new hardware. the names of the hardware were:

motorola communication interface (this shows up twice in my device manager)
motorola mcu data logger
motorola test command

my computer couldnt find the necessary files for these on my comp, so i'm not so sure how to go about installing them, or if they have anything to do with pst connection at all.

if i could get some help on this to get through with it, that would be awesome, because i really dont wanna do all this and have to quit midway.

Those drivers will most likely install from the directory where you installed PST to. Try pointing windows installer to that folder.
