Is it just me or does it seem like the phone does not have a very long battery life.

If it is anything like my old V551, then even with all of the hacks (like turning off the key sound, dimming screen all the way, etc) it's battery life still blew. I got sick of my phone in about 2 months and sold it. I suggest you do the same.

Neither to defend or complain about the v551, ( i use it and v635's)--they don't have great battery life, but on the other hand, I NEVER go anywhere without at least some kind of charing device, and usually a spare battrey---and I avoided motos for years because of their poor battery life.

However, I have never owned a cell phone whose battery couldn't be exhausted, if you use it long enough---and again, there are other problems with these motos, but the ability to tweek them, the wide assortement of every type of accessory at very affordable prices, make these phones, to me a great bargain.

Also I have tried other brands, and while all have both good and bad points, I have just gone back to the moto as a good average. OMO

Both the V551 and the V557 I've had have pretty poor battery life, especially when driving through areas with poor coverage.

The bluetooth most likely hurts it.
