If you can Buy it, buy me one too and I will wire you the money this afternoon

Looks like Cingular redesigned their website over the weekend. This webpage must've been designed to fit in with this new site setup. This person must've gotten an inside link. Release looks immenent.

Looks like a screenshot for the premier site ..

Must be some kind of internal link. Can the poster say if this came from Cingular's intranet?

I'm not seeing it on Premier. Premier customer service does not have any information on it (at least the person I spoke with). Definately looks like it will be soon either way.

I just sent over the image with our corporate order form to see if they can get this for me. Will let you know what happens.

I remember seeing the 23rd, and then the 25th. For some reason I put the 24th in my calendar as the first possible tentative date. So keep an eye on it between now and the end of the month. <Praying>

Roc a Fella said the 24th as the early release date . . . but he said that could change. Is it just me or is there a tingle in the air?

Yes I am. If the Treo comes out within 30 days of when I got the 8125 (seems unlikely,) then I'll exchange for the Treo. But if the Treo doesn't and the 8525 does (which seems promising,) then I'll exchange it for an 8525...and still buy the Treo (both.) I haven't decided to keep both or sell the 8525 if I got both. Basically I want either one to come out before Nov 2 so I can exchange. But just as easily neither will and I'll just get the Treo (and just keep or sell the 8125.)

For some reason when you go to www.attwireless.com it will take you to the Business Center site where this screenshot came from.

Yep, but if you go into phones it doesn't list anything but the current phones. Nothing on the 8525, which I think the marketing slick posted by the earlier poster is not out there..at least not for the public yet.

www.attwireless.com redirects you to www.cingular.com. If you are business user or if you've selected business use, then it will redirect from there to the business site.

Question For Y'all,

I am looking at the 8125 for now or the 8525 when it becomes available. I've never used a PPC before, and my biggest need is to use for running GPS software with a BT GPS receiver. Beyond that, the basic PDA address book and calendar functions, some basic web browsing and email, this thing will be mainly a phone for me. I'm not what you'd call a serious business user, and I don't know how much of the application stuff I will use, but that could change if the capability is there....

I need a touch screen cause of the GPS, but beyond that requirement, does the 8525 still sound like the right phone for me? I was thinking maybe I will like less OS and maybe the palm OS would be better for me. Any thoughts?

Posted by: Jakaroe808

It could really be happening.. the 8125 showed up early and then disappeared a day or two before it's release.. Could it be?

I have had the 8125 since its release and it has been a great experience as my first PPC. I came from Smartphones and would have a hard time going back to anything else including the palm os.. It sounds like you may take advantage of some of the capabilities including Wifi, 3G, at first but I have a feeling once you see what else it can do you will find other uses for it.. I would highly recommend it over palm and if you dont think you want to spend the cash for an 8525, the 8125 is an excellent device and by the looks of it, you'll be able to find one very well priced in the next few days/weeks..

Posted by: mnicol819

The phone is not available at the moment to purchase. My suggestion would be stay tuned... think days not weeks or months.

If you are looking for the page in the screenshot then you need to first get validated for Cingular Premier. Then after entering the site it should be accessible at...

http://business.cingular.com/businesscenter/8525/

If you aren't validated then your browser will be redirected.

Sounds like a PDA phone with built-in GPS receiver will be a better choice for you, such as the HP iPAQ 6945. Cingular once planned to release this phone, but either got cancelled or pushed behind 8525, but you can order it directly from HP web site. This phone also has EDGE, Bluetooth, WIFI, but no UMTS, which you don't care too much.

I am redirected to the 8125 page. I am validated.

Another option if you are looking for phone with GPS would be the new HTC P3300.

Signed into Premier website and then go to this URL, I'm just getting redirected to the 8125. Has anyone else been able to get in?

mnicol...may Allah bless you. RELEASE IS IMMINENT....yippee!!

Posted by: SoberGuy

I am routed to the main page, and was signed in at the time.

Posted by: Jakaroe808

I'm also getting the redirect from Premier.. I also went to the business center http://business.cingular.com/businesscenter/ and it looks as if the page is gone.. ??

Posted by: bobbypilsner

I see it after going to premeir and then pasting the url in. There is a box that say's "Order Now". I put in my email address and I get a new premier email sent to me.

I am exploring. it def has changed from this morning. No more 8125 on the front page and also free CG300 w PTT offered for free. I will take a longer look and report back if I see anything about the 8525. When I entered my addy into the order now box I was not redirected to a product page...just the page that tells you to go check your email.

Forget it...I was incorrect. The link in the email that came to me was for our company's personal premiere site (not corporate). I went back through the Corporate link and it's still the same... still no 8525.

Sorry for any confusion.

Posted by: Jakaroe808

You may still have the page loaded in your cache which would explain why the rest of us can not seem to find it..

Posted by: RulinSmoove

im in premier and i clicked http://business.cingular.com/businesscenter/8525/ and also paste it into the browser but it directed me to the 8125.

Not in my case...it was the first time I pasted the link since I got back from lunch and saw the original post about the new url.

Interesting to note that the 6510 and 6515 are out of stock now. Our price on the 8125/8100 has not changed though. I'll check again tomorrow and update if anything changes.

fingers crossed...

Quick update...tried in another browser (firefox vs. netscape) and I can still see it.

Posted by: Jakaroe808

Anyone who can see that page should save it as a html document and post it.. OK.. Now I'm officially a dork.. I can't believe I just suggested it, but the images may still be on the Cingular server to load the page locally..

Posted by: SoberGuy

It just routes us different places. Which, actually, is good. If the page didn't exist, we'd get the 404. They are certainly preparing the site for the release.

I got to the 8525 page too. However, if I clicked on the buyNow button, it just redirected me to the page saying I am qualified for the bussiness account. Right now there is no link to any page where you can actually make the order. As the reginal manager told me, the actual release will be later, but no later than the end of this month.

Posted by: Jakaroe808

That is strange.. Only thing I can think of is that I'm being redirected because of my location..

Posted by: SoberGuy

Didn't think about the location. No 3G areas get routed elsewhere?

Posted by: mage100

Works like a charm for me... I can clearly see the 8525 page. I am logged in through my corporate Premier login. The page looks exactly as posted.

Posted by: webtoker

What ZIP code?

Posted by: Jakaroe808

My problem is that I dont have an account.. I'm using a link from my school email.. Seems to be locked to "PA STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA SPONSORSHIP"..

?? I guess I'll just have to wait it out... what a friggin tease..

75074 which is Plano, TX.

Posted by: christian15213

I have a serious questions...

I am wondering why phones on Amazon are cheaper... and in many cases WAY cheaper...

For example I can buy the 3125 for 79 bucks...? and even if I don't get the one rebate it is still 99 bucks which is 50 bucks cheaper than the phone on cingy.com...

moreover the same story for the 8125... and not refurbished... What gives???

Posted by: Jakaroe808

I'm guessing we still don't know the sku# ?

they are authorized resellers. cingy pays them a set amount for each phone, they take that payment and apply part ofit to the price of the phone making it cheaper

I can't really wait tilll that comes out; even if it is available, it could have bugs for quite a little while. I'd considered the HP 6945, and it's a decent option, but it seems so far behind the other technology for what it should be. It has nothing updated except the GPS integrated. I'd rather have a separate BT GPS receiver, mount it permanently if needs be, and have a much better, state of the art, PPC

Posted by: URPREY

The screenshot on the previous page seems to confirm that PTT will not be functional until next year as previously discussed...

I'm a happy camper. I'm ready to jump ship from Sprint and just found out yesterday that my wife gets access to Premier through her employer so the discount will be the same as what I'm currently getting with Sprint.

Posted by: pcmike

I've never selected Business anything and when I went to the attwireless link it took me to the Cingular Business site.

You have to watch those resellers, even Amazon. They hit you with the clause that you can't lower your minutes for 6 months. I like the idea of buying direct from Cingular b/c you know you are not restricted, but cheaper is cheaper

Tuesday is ususally a good day for Cingy to drop phones.

Posted by: Dillsnik

Actually just looked at the Amazon offer for the 8125, that is the cheapest. Looks like they have a mail in rebate for $50 from Cingular. Cingular has a $100 rebate listed on that phone. I wonder if you could send in their rebat instead and get the phone for $30 after everything, or is that $100 rebate only if you buy direct from Cing.

They are really at work... putting up my beloved 8525

Posted by: optimalcapacity

I attempted to access the 8525 page (AREA CODE: 19145) and was redirected to the 8125 page. I noticed that the PDF for the $100 MIR was viewable. As usual, cingular has a combo MIR offer and it looks like the 8525 is listed with a $50 MIR (LINK ). This rebate expires on November 4th!

WOW, That SKU# helps to FINALLY get some information out of Cingular. I just got off the phone with Cingular Business services and they said that it currently shows "0" in stock, but that the system shows they were suppose to get 4,000 on October 19th and another 3,000 today. He said he thought it was delayed a bit so I should call back on Thursday or Friday

I dont know about the rest of you guys, but this sounds like it will be here LONG before Feb!!!

Posted by: Naveen

question-how long after did the motorola v3i show up after we had the sku number available to us?

Posted by: don23lucia

Does anyone have any idea what the retail of this will be i was just about to buy the 8125 and my buddy suggested i take a look here and lord and be hold the 8525 is dropping no wonder the cingular rep was pushing me hard to buy the 8125

HERE GOES MY DIALOG FOR TODAY*******

Alex_M: To christian15213
When will then be now?

christian15213
question that is good see you

Alex_M: To christian15213
We are expecting for it to launch Soon.

christian15213
out tommorrow will be the cingular 8525?

Alex_M: To christian15213
Tomorrow out 8525 Cingular to be?

christian15213
yes?

Alex_M: To christian15213
According to my Cingular senses, signs are showing a 50/50 chances of probability.

christian15213
50/50 chance that it will be out tommorrow

christian15213
would you say 80 : 20 chance tommorrow?

Alex_M: To christian15213
how about 20 : 80 chance.

christian15213
I like the 80 20 it will be 80 percent sure it will be out tommorrow scenario

Alex_M: To christian15213
Me too

christian15213
so do you think it is 80 percent likely tommorrow? or is there a better day for the 80 percent ranking?

Alex_M: To christian15213
Sure go ahead with your specific question.

christian15213
when I have the 8525 I can tie this into my laptop via bluetooth right

Alex_M: To christian15213
You certainly can christian.

christian15213
and I could seperatley buy a 3g laptop card that would all be on the data plan incase I didn't want to do the phone linkage thing right???

Alex_M: To christian15213
That is also correct.

christian15213
what are the speeds for the up and down?

Alex_M: To christian15213
700kbps- 1.3mbps.

Alex_M: To christian15213
This is a good site for more information: www.cingular.com/broadbandconnect_consumer

christian15213
I can cancell my dsl connection effectively

Alex_M: To christian15213
Not sure if that was a question, looked more like a statement.

christian15213
this is all I need for a walking internet connection.... I could be connected 24 7

Alex_M: To christian15213
That is correct, its really fast. We were using it in the training room when it first went live.

Alex_M: To christian15213
The unlimited laptop connect plan is 59.99

christian15213
which this includes the plan for the laptop and the 8525 phone... right? this is just one price...

Alex_M: To christian15213
Didn't follow that last question.

christian15213
ok, when I purchase an 8525 and a 3g laptop card... my sole price for unlimited internet will be 59.99 correct?

Alex_M: To christian15213
For the pc card yes which allows you to connect using the laptop.

christian15213
so the plan I will get for the phone has to be seperate?

christian15213
so the plan I will get for the phone has to be seperate?

Alex_M: To christian15213
Well if you're going to have a pc card, then there is no reason to have a data plan on the phone if both phone and pc card are going to be with you at all times.

Alex_M: To christian15213
The 8525 is 802.11 capable so you can use an internet connection whenever you're at home or the office provided that you have your own wireless network set up in those locations which would allow you to use the data on the 8525 w/out using the cingular network.

christian15213
no... the phone will be with me at all times but not the laptop...

christian15213
hmmmm... that is weird... I can use the phone to power the internet on my laptop, but you won't let me pay one price for connection onto the internet via laptop card, if I purchase one, and phone connection...

christian15213
not your fault but you see what I mean?

Alex_M: To christian15213
I completely understand.

Alex_M: To christian15213
it is a lot more cost effective to stick to 1 device for laptop usage.

Alex_M: To christian15213
and the other device for placing calls.

Alex_M: To christian15213
But if you have two devices connecting to the laptop then that's 59.99 x 2

Alex_M: To christian15213
The 39.99 pda connect plan is unlimited browsing but limited to the 8525.

christian15213
ok, so my one question is this than... what will be the speeds I can get if I bluetooth in my connection to my laptop via the 8525?

Alex_M: To christian15213
Speeds will not change when using the UMTS network.

christian15213
ok, but for what I am saying I can purchase the 39.99 plan and just bluetooth in my laptop and that way I am only paying one fee per month...

Alex_M: To christian15213
Not necessarily no.

christian15213
explain... because this is what I am thinking

Alex_M: To christian15213
The 39.99 unlimited data plan limits your browsing only the 8525.

christian15213
yea but will anyone know the difference? I am sure there are programs or something...

Alex_M: To christian15213
It will not work that way, Cingular's network knows the difference.

christian15213
so you are saying it is an absolute NO... will only work on the 8525 with no bluetooth networking allowed?

Alex_M: To christian15213
You can certainly bluetooth the 8525 yes.

christian15213
I am saying for the internet...

Alex_M: To christian15213
Correct, it will work provided that you're on the correct rate plan.

christian15213
explain this what will I need to purchase for this to work?

Alex_M: To christian15213
A laptop connect plan.

christian15213
this doesn't make sense... are you sure? that seems like a rip off...

Alex_M: To christian15213
Which is why i stated prior that it is best to select one device for internet in this case the pc card, and another device for speaking on for placing calls.

christian15213
NO way I disagree... the reason for this phone would be to check emails and browse internet while you don't have some big laptop or desktop for that matter around...

Alex_M: To christian15213
Correct, really good pocket pc for doing everything you described and then some.

christian15213
the rip off comes from the fact that you will allow the bluetooth tie in when I pay for some laptop plan when you could easily just give one total price for a "data connection" and allow the connection any which way the consumer wants/needs it...

Alex_M: To christian15213
Did you have any other questions christian?

Alex_M: To christian15213
Did you have any other questions christian?

christian15213
overall I guess not TOOO big of a deal but I was really thinking of canceling my dsl connection... but not going to pay 110 dollars a month for internet connection

Alex_M: To christian15213
I completely understand

christian15213
Alex, am I going to be really happy tommorrow?

Alex_M: To christian15213
Everyday we wake up is a reason to be happy.

christian15213
come on Alex, what do your Cingular senses tell you....

Alex_M: To christian15213
To be honest christian, we find out the same time it is made public. For instance, i dont know if you noticed the cingular website was changed... and we were not made aware of that either.

christian15213
yea, but alex, a website change is one thing... but having 2 million calls about a phone is a whole other thing...

christian15213
you have to have a couple days notice at least...

christian15213
happy? tommorrow? yes? or will my happiness have to wait? I am on suicide watch you know

christian15213
hahahahahahahahaha LOL, are you annoyed with me yet... Or am I highly entertaining?

Alex_M: To christian15213
Entertaining. I have a 3 yr old so you would have to try harder to annoy me =)

Alex_M: To christian15213
But you've had really good questions.

Alex_M: To christian15213
In all honestly we are made aware the day it launches.

Alex_M: To christian15213
Maybe they think by telling us early it will leak out or something

Alex_M: To christian15213
So they keep it quiet until the launch day.

Alex_M: To christian15213
Sounds good. There are some prototypes here on the floor and its really neat.

christian15213
awsome... I really think you should talk to the higher ups about an inclusive data plan... and If I am not mistaken I think one of my ideas will work... so we shall see...

Alex_M: To christian15213
I think so too, there are a lot of industry professionals out there who have stated the same as yourself.

Alex_M: To christian15213
Definately submitting it to the project management team.

That is long... I thought you could teather with the PDA connect plan.. ?? We'll he really didn't seem to know too much about the release..

Quick question: is there a way to push email from a POP account to the 8525? or do you have to manually check the account (comcast) by connecting to the server to retrieve messages? is there a way to send an alert to the phone when an email comes through?

Pushmail doesn't work with POP mail. You can forward your POP email to a free service like 4smartphone.net and use DirectPush to have it pushed to your phone though...

Can't push with POP. Uses IMAP. Check this....

lots of info over on xda-developers....on that NOTE...make sure you use the search feature over on xda-developers. Most of your questions have been asked and answered.

When will telesales be selling this phone in relation to when it first shows up (I assume on the premier site)? At the same time or a little bit later?

no, I just need my secureid to access my corporate email. Everythign on the premier site is done via your corporate email or company intranet.

Just an FYI - avoid vgsmail. I was beta testing the program before it went commercial, and the support was great. However, shortly after going commercial the developer stopped updating the app and fixing bugs, and it was so unreliable I had to quit using it.

Posted by: RF9

I'm using Flexmail. I have a few complaints about it, mainly that it's incompatible with Cingiular XPress Mail. I have to run it with it NOT taking over the messenger app by default, and it's not designed to work this way as it doesn't have it's own today plug-in (it wants to take over messenger.) Also I have an issue with the way it syncs with POP, and an issue with mail deletion maintinence (with POP as well.) Othrewise it's great.
What I like most about it is that it supports full HTML email, unlike pocket outlook.
Flexmail really is very nice otherwise.

Posted by: jetfxr

I FWD my gmail to my mail2web.com account. Its all free and is pushed instantly! Sucks my reply to is mail2web, but hey its free.

Posted by: RF9

Flexmail allows you to recieve from Mail2Web, but reply through any other account (SMTP server.) For example I could forward my Me@mydomain.com to mail2web, but reply through my me@mydomain.com's SMTP server. So all of the email comes form me@mydomain.com
DirectPUSH fights so hard with WiFi that I gave up using it. Every time I want to use WiFi I had to disable directPUSH or it'd constantly keep trying to re-connect EDGE, and the comm manager would promptly shut it down.
I just use Yahoo Mail POP the way I have for years (forward my mail to yahoo, and send it from my domain address.) I have it check hourly.
For work email I use XPress Mail push which works like a charm since it uses silent (and free) SMS triggers. But Xpress mail has it's other issues.

i see how you guys are excited over this phone compared to the non 3g 8125. and i know it has some improvements over the cdma htc apache with 3g evdo that was out over a year ago. like the 8525 has 802.11 g instead of just b on the apache but other then little stuff like that, its really not that big of a deal or that exciting for someone that already had a 3g apache for over a year.

for me having an xv6700, it will only be a slight improvement in a few minor areas but the cing version is actually not as nice looking as the black xv6700. also 3g coverage wont be as wide spread as vzw. i mean i'm switching data to cing anyway because i already have cing and its time to just stick with one carrier where i can switch sims but just saying for myself and others that have had a 3g ppc phone for over a year its not that big of an improvement and like i said the looks and the 3g coverage are actually a downgrade.

alas its not going to be worth me paying a significant amount more for a tytn over what i will be able to get the 8525 for since i have 2 upgrades to make use of.

if i didn't have the upgrade the price diff would be less and i would import the tytn but not going to be able to justify.

i'm just not loving the pics of the ugly silver and stupid orange cingular guy symbol especially when its switching back to attws soon prob.

guess i can sugarcube off the branding and paint it white or black or something, bleh

FYI...what it's worth for those of you not long time Cingular customers - nearly all phone releases seem to happen on Thursdays (at least the last 3-4 I've bought like the Cingular 8125, 3125, etc).

If it's coming out this week, check the premier site on Thurs morning.

I don't believe that past releases provide a strong indication of what day the 8525 will drop. So for what its worth... the 8125 was first available at the Premeir site on a Monday.

I was there...

Can't decide if I want to use XBM and send in my 8125 (few problems here and there) and get a 8525 or if I should keep the 8125 and buy the 8525... decisions, decisions.

Posted by: SoberGuy

Rulin,
I can understand wanting to XBM the 8125 for a few issues. I can completely understand that (been having some issues of my own). How do you do the switch when you XBM it? How does that affect the ocerall price of the 8525? I'd think they'd just offer a refurb 8125. I've seen a lot of people poner the same option, just curious how the logistics work.

Posted by: Themajesticking

I've used to XBM countless times but never for an upgrade. Regularly you would just call them with your problem then they send you a refurb with a return label. Slap it on the box and put your old phone in....But would they make you pay a difference if going to a better phone?

Posted by: SoberGuy

Quote:

That's kind of what I'm thinking. The question is, what difference? Total retail? Price after FAN discounts? Upgrade cost? What if you're not eligible for an upgrade? I'm just curious how it works. I'm not eligible for an upgrade (according to Cingy), unless I do it through Premier. So it looks like rep roullette if I want to do anything like XBM to 8525.

Posted by: RulinSmoove

The lady told me at the corporate store that if I was to send my 8125 back via XBM they would exchange it for a 8125. If they had discontinued the 8125, they would send the sucessor to the 8125, being the 8525. All I have to do is make sure the 8525 comes out before Feb 07, because you have a 1yr "exchange for free" policy when you purchase any device. After one year, your SOL.

I'm just hoping it comes out soon, that way I can wait till Dec or Jan and tell them I have huge problems (which I sometimes do) and then tell them I don't want to experience the same problems with another 8125, can you send me an 8525.

Also, when you get a phone/pda from XBM they aren't all refurbished. A lot of those phones in the XBM warehouse are phones that people returned within the 30 day period... aka buyers remorse.

Posted by: Sleuth255

As I predicted (based on ROM dates) way earlier in this thread, the 8525 will drop sometime between now and the first week of November (my money's still on week of 10/31). As I also stated, it will drop w/o PTT functionality initially.

Because of this, I've been hard at work developing a fix for all the 8525 "early implementors" who will be stuck with a dead PTT button when they finally get this awsome device into their hands. This fix is now finished and tested. For ease of installation, I've also created a CAB that installs my patch and automatically manages all registry settings. Additionally, when Cingular releases their PTT upgrade sometime in 2007, you will be able to remove my "fix" and reattach PTT functionality to button 5 by simply installing their update. Here's a link to the install:

Rulin,
I can understand the thinking to the process. Don't you think they'd charge some fee to go from the 8125 to the 8525 though? I don't think the 8125 would really be discontinued right away. I would imagine they'd have some stock go through, but I'd also think they'd want another option. I mean, when one Treo hits, it doesn't remove the other Treos. I would think both would be available for quite some time. What sort of issues are you having with the 8125?

Sleuth,
Nice! Thanks a bunch.

Its very frustrating.. I really like the 8525 and am waiting for it to release.. but Cingular's 3g network is slow to release and isnt as quick as max'd out EV-DO. Although the phone is compairably cheap compaired to other companies, the data plan is expensive and does not cover text messages.

What is the most efficient way to get email messages,, right now I'm using express mail on my 3125,, and it can take over 10 minuttes to get a text message.. and without send/recieve-ing every other second and baby sitting my phone is there a better way to push the email with the 8525,,, 40$ is way too much ,, I'm thinking about not getting it because of the expensive service ,, decisions decisions,,

Still doesnt help .. TyTN 3G wont work on TMo ... because they are using a different spectrum which they recently bot .. 1700MHz/2100MHz and even the frequencies in the 2100MHz are different that the current ones .. Do a search in Google around this and you will find tons more details ..

So, TMo would have to launch 3G devices specific for their network .. none of the existing 3G devices would work on the TMo network ..

You're still misunderstanding. I think he was asking will Tmobile's version of the 8525(if there is one) have 3g capability if sim unlocked.

Has anyone been able to place an order via Premier yet? A comment on the Engadget comments said they were able to order and would arrive this week.

Yeah I saw that too...I think they were full of BS or at least delusional.

Posted by: jhorsch

I saw the same thing on Engadget and called a few stores and getting the famous late October/early November line. I was actually thinking that the i607 would be out sooner but the no wifi rumor kills that option.

Just got off the phone with Cingular National Business Ordering. They don't have any information on it. said to check back. I even gave them the SKU # reported earlier in the thread.

If anyone else is able to get an order placed through NBO (or any other channel), please let us know.

I wasn't able through my corp premier account ? I would be interested to see if anyone else can.

I chatted the live help and they said that if you see the phone than you can order it. They were either clueless (which doesn't surprise me) or under the understanding that maybe the phone is available to certain premier accounts (which wouldn't surprise me either if they allowed their best customers early access) ? ? ?

I spoke with them last night and they found the 8525 right away. But the stock said they had none yet and to give it till the end of the week and call back.

It will be very soon, I am so glad to see all the negative Feb. 2007 people have gone away lol

Couple of points...isn't it true that max'ed out HSDPA is faster than max'ed out EV-DO. Re: coverage...from what I've seen on VZ boards...they're still major parts of New York city that aren't covered by EV-DO...just saw someone complaining by lack of coverage in Brooklyn and Queens and EV-DO has been out way longer. And yeah they're is a way to push email...saw it earlier in the thread. Plus VZ data plans are comparatively priced to that of Cingular. I don't like Cingular very much cause I still get dropped calls more than I should and I get weird network problems. Do you know that someone sent my a text one day last week and I didn't get it until the next day...unacceptable.

HAH,
You thought I ran away?! I'M STILL HERE! LOL

Look man understand my poisition, it's hard to get optimisitic after you waited what seemed like 8-9 months for the 8125. Only to find myslef reading posts every other week in the meantime, like "my sisters boyfriends cousin said it's releasing this week."

Hows that old saying go, Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me?

After the 8125 fun-coaster, you can't expect a lot of people to be optimistic about release dates. Now that they have a stock number and all that, That's good. Obiously I was wrong about February, just understand where I was coming from when I said......................

Release: February.

Posted by: ibby03

Posted by: robothero

October 29th is a Sunday. Doubt it's coming out on a weekend.

Posted by: SteinyD

I just heard March '07.

So for a couple hundred more, quad band, no contract and unlocked, some of you could have had one already ... been enjoying my Tytn for 3 months now! Stop drooling and go buy one!

Sarcasm Mode:ON
Thanks for the Good News!

Hmm, the 29th? Why would they release it on a Sunday?

Posted by: RulinSmoove

Why do you all question Cingular's release dates? They can and will release a phone when they want to. Maybe they are trying to fake you all out and get them off their backs? Maybe they're going to release it on a Monday, or Friday, or Thursday... who cares!?

The only thing I care about is the date (not day) of the release.

Posted by: SteinyD

Looks like you have enough phones already. You are on phone restriction from here on out! Sheesh, how many can you talk on at one time anyway? ;-)

**Wish I could obsess over something of real importance.

I heard that they're actually taking the back facing camera off this time. Other rumored features include a connection so that it will recharge while you dolly around in your segway (via bluetooth) and a fully functional x-ray view mode.

Pricing is starting at 900$, expect it to be seen "in the wild" around may, and then expected to hit AT&T in September, but delayed to February.

No, they're keeping the front facing camers but covering the side facing camera.

Posted by: shtekler

Did You Notic No Front Camera It Mean No Video Calling I Better But Tytn
Or I Mate Jasjam Or Wate For The 88xx

Posted by: SteinyD

No, before you do that you should invest in a grammar and spell checker! Wow!

Don't worry about the video calling. The reason they took the front facing camera off is because they aren't supporting video over HSDPA in the States yet. And when they do, they'll have another $700 phone for you to buy so that you can get that feature!

As nice as the VGA screen is on that device, the rest of the device remains quite unusable. (At least *I* didn't care for it too much.)

In the interest of full disclosure I'm not a big fan of the 8125 form-factor either. Give me a front mounted keyboard like my old Treo 650 any day. (I'll look at the TyTn/8525, but I'll also look at the 750 if it ever comes to Cingular.)

The 8125 hit Premier on a Monday, so that could definately make sense. Have you heard anything on pricing yet?
