I already don't like the change from miniSD to microSD. That's $140 worth of storage cards I can throw away if I decide to switch. (or almost $200 for new ones) I also don't like the absence of a 2.5mm plug. I spent five hours on airplanes last week watching movies on my 8125 with TCPMP. That's another 8525 deal killer, IMO, another $20 for a converter. Feels more solid, however, with the exception of the battery cover, which looks like it may come off pretty easily if the latch is accidentally hit. Not sure I'll be rushing out to replace my 8125 at this point.

Keep in mind that this is not an observation I base on speculative future usage of the device, rather how I have used my 8125 in my real life for many months.
I do have to add on the plus side, when I threw in my SIM card and fired it up (all my testing had been done without the SIM until about 10pm last night), the little service icon that usually shows "E" or "G" showed "U". I ran a few speed tests (not sure if they were SpeakEasy, CNET, DSL Reports, etc.) and they were consistently showing 400kbps download speeds. Nice. |

So the headphones actually plug into the mini-USB port? That is kind of funky and a bit of a kick in the pants to using this phone with my motorcycle intercom system. Guess I can't be "working" anymore while I'm out on the bike . Hopefully boxwave or someone will put out some adapters.I still can't figure out all the new crud they put into this phone that they needed to drop Mini-SD for micro, AND drop the headphone jack. Are the sides of the device that crowded? |

In fact, HP itself already released that device (as 6945) couple months ago and has been selling it on its own web site since then. It is Cingular that decided to make it "carrier certified" and officially release it on October 25, and make them publically available after October 31.
Right now the Cingular's NBO order system shows a status of "Coming soon" under HP 6925. In contrast, there is abosulently no comparable information listed under 8525. Nothing pointing to any information like "expecting 1600-piece shipment on Oct 31". The best know information is that Cingular had a vender meeting with HTC last week and asking HTC to fix some bluetooth pairing problem with some of the Cingular's existing headsets. |

It does not work that way. When you want to use Premier you have to follow the link from the confirmation email or log in.
