Please understand that his inappropriate post was a heat-of-the-moment reaction like yours. So no big deal. |

This thread is like a runnaway trian that keeps picking up boxcars as it speeds down the hill. When the phone comes out it is gonna crash and stop. Alltel has the best coverage in Arizona, for me, when I have no service with Cingular I have 5 bars with Alltel.

It's still forwarding us back to the old-skool 8125's product page at the moment, but a tipster has managed to coax Cingular's site into giving up the goods on the 8525 -- Buy Now link and all. We're guessing it has something to do with region or Premier account status, we're not sure, but the point is that a select few are able to place their orders for Cingular's first HSDPA smartphone as we speak. Breaking out the wallet might be hard to justify for folks in 2G areas coming from an 8125, but if speed and power are top priorities, lick your chops as you read the full specs (highlights include a 400MHz Samsung core, 2-megapixel cam, and that fabulous 3G radio) after the break. Looks like you guys missed this ... Does anyone know what happened? |

I check here because I know that the moment it is available, there will be about eight pages of "OMFG I JUST ORDERED MINE!!!!!" and then I will log into Premier and get mine as well.

The 8525 looks awesome. I like the fact that they added a wheel on the side like blackberry's. That alot better than having to pull the stylus out all the time. The 2mp camera looks pretty sweet too. Not too mention a 400mhz processor. I can't wait to get one of these in my hands.

Fortunately, I can afford (technology wise) to pass on the 8525. I'll just catch the next bus. ![]() |

In addition to my own humble opinion, I've noticed a few others on this board mention that this device is the one they've been waiting years for. It seems that there are more than the usual motley assortment of phone geeks hanging around this thread. Speaking of which, the 8525 has more slobbering red-eyed interest than any other converged device currently being discussed on HoFo. The cumulative evolution will cause this device to be revolutionary, given a lack of showstopping usability gaffes. My 1.5 cents. SfS |
