KYOCERA SE44 extrange behavior

Hello to everyone.
A friend gave me his KYOCERA SE44(stored from some long time) to give it a check out, i don't know much on these brand, but the behavior is as follow.
When the phone is turned on it display de hour glass, then shows some thing like the normal screen display with the battery meter, phone line, but then of the sudden the display shows up a screen with a PC and a cell phone on 2 corners and an arrow sign pointing both devices ( lucks like a link ) but i'm not sure what's going on. 
I will thank any help.

That means the phone is in data transfer mode. Typically you only see it when connected to a computer.
