Writing java and stuffing it in a e815

I would like to write a basic program which allows me to keep track of daily expenses and categorize them. I've never written a lick of java, but I do know a bit about several other languages including c and basic, so I'll be able to stumble my way through. My question is, if I write the code, can I get it into the e815 and point a shortcut at it? (Preferably without seem editing and all that, although I will if I have to)
Thanks in advance

E815 doesn't have java yet except for Bell, but I don't know your provider.

I think Aliant mobility in Canada might have it, Because when I go to play games I click on the Java part and the "Teacup" pictures that Java has pops up on the screen of my phone.

Forgot about Aliant, but they use Bell's firmware. Basically only the Canucks get Java.

It seems like people get sidetracked on this forum a lot. Is there really no language, even proprietary, that the e815 can run? Searching through the forum and the web, I've caught wind of some language called brew??? Sounds like a proprietary java to me. The program I want to write is just one step above "hello world", there must be a way. (If I would have a program like I want to write a week ago, I would have know my account balance and could have avoided $175 in overdraft fees from my bank!)
Hopefully someone has some good tips. Thanks....

I am with verizon, by the way...

Brew is a platform to supprt c/c++ and java, and all programs have to be signed and distributed by qualcomm or verizon. There is no hack on that yet. Because qualcomm totally controles the entire hardware and software platform, I doubt there would be any work around ever. Newest brew can run developer signed program I think, if you decide to become an authorized developer.
By the way, there is a GIN program to track expenses.

Took me a while to figure out what GIN stood for... Thanks for the heads up, but I don't think that is going to work like I want. I want to do only minimal clicks to be able to enter something in. MobileExpense looks pretty involved.
Verizon seems to have quite a racket going on. They want to charge 6 bucks a month for that program. Is there really no work around???

MobileExpense is 6 bucks umlimited NOT monthly, I never tried that one.
Even there was a work around, it is not allowed posted here.
by the way, there is verizon, motorola sub forum.
