MPT no bluetooth after OBEX fixed

Hello can anybody help me i flashed my V3c razor (verizon) from 03 to 04p and it put the OBEX back on but then when i try to connect to MPT 4.04 via bluetooth it could not find it and i even tried setting up a new profile it gets to the detect phone sees it and then gives me a com port error everytime i try to finish the set up. I have 3 other razors with 03 and they still work fine on the bluetooth within MPT. My flashed phone will work on bluetooth with my pc from my bluetooth places and with a usb cable on MPT but not bluetooth in MPT. If there is a guide for this fix i apolagize for the new post but i could not find anything for this issue .

This is a good point i was just woundering if this is a typical problme or if i did something to mess up MPT to detect my phone if it is because of the OBEX doing it.

Any time your phone has been paired with your PC OUTSIDE of MPT... MPT has a "fit"...

MPT wants to kick off and take you through the pairing process... it doesn't want you to be paired first...

The result... Com port installation failed...

Work arounds include...
1. unpairing your PC and Phone.
2. delete the listing of your PC from the phone's bluetooth "history"
3. deleteing any BLUETOOTH MODEM listings from Device manager
4. deleting any Bluetooth COM PORT in device manager (where com & LPT ports are listed)

Then try again... with MPT "leading the way" to connect/pair the PC and phone...

Ok thanks Mark i will try and do some of the work arounds you sugested and see what happens if i decide it is worth it. If i do some of the work arounds will i have to pair up my phone to my pc again for the OBEX to be detected on my pc ( this is the not worth it part)

As far as the other question asked earlyer i can tell if you do the 04p it will put OBEX back on as i had 03 so going from 03 to 04p you will get this back and you get the M-F on your calander alarm i have not checked out any of the other features yet that it is suppose to fix you will have to do a seem edit for the orange outside screen if you want it back to the old way.

once its paired, you are good for all BT profiles/services...

i.e. have MPT start/do the pairing process... and you are good, and should be able to use OBEX File Transfers... At least I can with the Widcomm stack on my two laptops...
