v60i problem...please help

Hey everyone. I just got the v60i from verizon wireless... I am very happy with the phone...and verizon's service. However, I am having a slight problem with the phone:
At least twice a day or so....I will set the phone down on my desk..or shelf......flip cover closed...but phone still powered on. When I come back a few minutes later....the phone will be turned off. I DON'T WANT IT TO AUTOMITICALLY SHUT DOWN LIKE THAT. WHY IS IT DOING THIS? Is anyone else having this problem?
Other than that the phone is great

Your phone is defective.
Return it to your local corporate store or authorized dealer.
