Also a bit lost in the hiring process

I applied at a corp store on Friday online and politely called the store on Monday to ask if they were filling the position still. They asked me to turn in an applcation in person. I was a bit puzzled but went in anyway. They actually had meant resume, so I went across the street to my college and typed a resume and turned it in. Later I talked to an assistant manager I believe and he said the next step is to wait for my assessment result.
He stated that I should have received an email with a result whether I passed or not, which I never received. Am I lost in the hiring process? I tried calling back but they've been pretty busy (short staffed as well).

i don't remember recieving an email about the assessment result (course this was in the blue days so things could have changed). the only email I got said that everything was recieved. I would keep doin what your doin and trying to get in contact with the management of the store. don't hound too much, but keeping in contact lets them know that you're serious.

I never got a results email or anything, and it took about a week or more before I got called for an interview, so I wouldn't worry about it to much. It took like another week after my interview to be told I got the job. Good luck though.

They said they had other applicants. I made sure to highlight my knowledge of wireless on my resume as well as my one year of retail experience for a video store. I just hope I don't get bumped due to lack of retail experience.
