Planning to get W850. Work in Canada?

I'm planning to get a W850 this summer in HK.

I'm with Fido at the moment, which I believe works on GSM 1900 & 850.
I believe W850 can work on the 1900 Mhz, but not 850.

When I looked at the specs for the phone, however, it only mentioned that the phone worked in Europe, Asia, and Africa networks for some reason...perhaps they forgot to list North America, or something?

Can someone help me verify that thw W850 will work in Canada with Fido, and if I will lose a significant amount of reception without the 850 Mhz frequency?

Im also thinking about getting that phone too. But I have had no problems with phones in the US using 1900 which I think Canada (Fido) uses. I think the 850 is used in the rurual areas, that is what T-Mobile and Cingular uses (like up in Maine). So I believe it shouldn't lose a lot of reception if you live in or near a city. Also what are u using right now? And if u do go to HK and get the phone can u tell me how much u got it.
