Setting up mobile internet on V3i

I swore that I came across a guide on here around a month ago detailing how to get the mobile WAP access to work on the V3i, but for the life of me I can't find it. Part of the problem is that I can't figure out how to do a search for V3i and internet. Is there a guide to using the search feature anywhere? Most forums have one, but I couldn't find it here.

Anyway, would appreciate any help with the internet issue.

its in the cingular faqs but instead of the v3i look at the v400 0r v551. you need to set up to to new web sessions one for media net and one for mms

OK, I managed to use the L7 MEdia Net settings from Cingular's site to get the internet going.

I think installed Opera mini, but it thinks I don't have an internet connection available. Any way to fix this? I now have MEdia Net set as my default connection.

The internet will work on the V3i using the L7 settings but you cannot use media net as its homepage. So you may need to manually enter the settings to access the internet and just have some other site as a homepage like weather.com or so.

Pretty sure that Media Net is my homepage when using the default browser. What I'm having trouble with is using Opera Mini - it thinks that there is no internet connection.

I used the cingular automatic configuration, but used the v3. Works perfectly.

Ok, a friend of mine just got an unlocked V3i with iTunes (I'm on T-Mobile with a non-itunes v3i and dont have this problem) and he's trying to set-up his MEdia net access, we tried looking at the cingular instructions for the L7 (located at https://cingular.atgnow.com/cng/tutorials/KB59955.html ) but there's not "Web Accsess" menu option as in Step 3. Thus we cant even enter the settings.... Are we missing something?
Does anyone have any idea what's up with that? Is the unlocked iTunes model and different than any other version of the V3i?
