Hello. I just bought a new Motorola Razr V3i off Ebay. It is the unlocked version. The phone is expected to get to me on Thursday (July 6). I have heard stories and seent hem online of people needing to configure their V3i in order to use the internet, send text messages, etc... I will be using the phone with Cingular. I just want to have all the information ready when I get the phone so that I can configure it myself. What has to be done to make this phone work perfectly with no flaws. Sorry if I sound stupid asking this as I am sure people have asked this already. Thank you very much in advance for helping, it will be greatly appreciated

if you're a cingular customer, go to cingular's website, and click on support>device or phone support. There is an area to have the settings for medianet and mms sent to your phone. Go there and have them send the settings for the v3. MMS and medianet are working perfect for me.

If you want to have the language packs and american voice dialing, you're going to have to have some software on your pc and be prepared for some mods. I have the link with screenshots for that if you're interested.

it's not easy(to most people in spite of what the moto modders might tell you)--if you're interested in doing it, I recommend spending time over at motox.info reading in the v3i section. All the info that you need is there.
