Email to PIN

I'm looking for a program that will send messages directly to a BB w/o having to pass through a BES. I'm going on the assumption that if something happens to my data center (which houses my BES) and I want to contact my BB users. I know that I can use the PIN to PIN functions or BlackBerry Messenger, but what I'm really looking for is a program (preferably for Windows) that will send to PIN. I believe BB support has something similar, because I've contacted them for support and one of their troubleshooting techniques is to send a PIN message from their desktops in Canada to my users in the States.
Something along the lines of a SMS gateway, but with a PIN. Do any programs exist?

I don't believe you can send an email to a BB PIN. As I see it you have two choices. First is to use SMS. With SMS you can use email to send a message to the phone or use an SMS program from your desktop. Second choice would be to setup a BIS account and email to/from BIS. This is included with the BB service so you get an email address username@myblackberry.carrier.net or something.

Most of my staff use 5790's, which are the data only BB, so they don't have SMS capabilities. I've used Teleflip (www.teleflip.com) that allows me to email to SMS, but do you know of a stand alone program that will act as a SMS gateway?

If you know the carrier, (and I hope you do since you are an admin) then email the following
Sprint: 10-digit-number@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Verizon: 10-digit-nmber@vtext.com
AT&T: 10-digit-number@mobile.att.net
T Mobile: 10-digit-number@tmomail.net
Nextel: 10-digit-number@messaging.nextel.com
Cingular: 10-digit-number@mobile.mycingular.net
Alltel: 10-digit-number@message.alltel.com
Even without an SMS package, they should be ablr to receive the alert for $0.10 in most cases.
What I do is keep my users' pins and phone numbers in my blackberry. when the server goes down, i send out a pin msg from my bb. (I suppose you could call the carrier or if you have t-support get RIM) to send the email notice to you users. I mean how often is the datacenter down? once every two years maybe? my fallback in case i can't get the msg out is to place a courtesy call and let them know. (but i see you don't have voice capabilities)

SMS will not help him at all. The 5790 (and it's predecessors, the 950 and 957) do not have phones. No phone, no SMS. Not even with Teleflip and knowing the carrier. They have no phones!
Unfortunately, there is no server or Windows based PIN system. That would be great - I need it too.

Anyone find a solution to this problem? It would be nice if there was an email to PIN gateway that acted similar to the email to SMS gateway address as discussed above. The closest I did find in my google attempt is a website that allows you to send a PIN message by filling out info on the web page.

AFAIK there is no way to send an email to someone's pin.

The BIS/BWC (when did they change the name on me???) idea is the best... I'm guessing your clients use Sprint? They should offer some sort of email service without needing a BES.
