I have the w600i and been having many problems. The keeps freezing and other weird problems. Iam on my 3rd one and it just got the wsod. The second one, the swivel was broken and the first one had the wsod. If i call cingular could they possibly give me a similar phone or even lower. I hate to keep switching phones and changing the settings. I dont really care if the phone is a lower model than what i have. Has cingular ever done something like this. I had the samsung p207 and it had memory leaks. I keep picking the wrong phones. lol

Ask for a Samsung D807. It is a great phone. Earpeice is a little low, but that is the only complaint. It is louder than the 6102, RAZR, etc. It has most of the same features as the w600i (I also had the w600i and experienced the same problems you did) Upgraded to the samsung d807 and have no complaints besides the volume!! You should really ask for it.

after three trades you can request to have a different model sent you due to all your inconvenience.im assuming for the w600 they will give you the samsung d807.thats what they consider comparable.

For device exchanges with Cingular, you go through XBM. The number for that is 1-800-801-1101. If your current device is under warranty, and they deem that it is not warranty voided, you will be sent a replacement phone of the same model. It isn't until your third exchange that they will allow you to exchange for a different model.

Iam wondering why they gave me such a hard time with my samsung p207. As may or may not know, the p207 had serious memory leaks. The phone would restart and drop calls almost everyday. After the 3rd xbm i requested something to a similar model. They thought i was just tired of the phone and wanted a new phone. I really dont care any more about the kind of phone i have and i even requested for a lower model. They wouldnt do anything because they said it would be a hard process to do. So i decided to go to the cingular store and complain. The manager was very understanding and gave me the z520a. I now have a w600i since I was so impressed with the z520a. That was a horrible choice, since i sold the z520a and now have a horrible phone. I just got my xbm for my w600i. Ill see how this one goes.

i got a samsung 807 for razr....but if you see my post - I have mixed feeling about it...the samsung may have a great software but there are other issues that demand to be considered beforehand....

The d807 is better than the razr, w600i, slvr etc. The reception isnt quite as good and the volume is a tid bit low, but it is a better phone overall.
