I just purchased a new w810 and it is really great. I want to check what firmware version I have (current software version is CXC 1250317 R4CK003) because I would like to flash the phone so that when I change themes the main menu screen changes as well. My phone came with the da vinci code theme preloaded and I have read that other people with that theme experienced the same problem, but a firmware flash fixed it. So the problem is that upon typing ">, *,<,<,*,<*" nothing happens. It simply just goes back to the standby screen. Please help!

Never mind. After rebooting the phone I was able to get into service mode.

Sometimes that code doesn't work on my W810i, so I just restart my phone and try it again, then eventually it works. Just keep doing that until you get it to work.
