700P Lag - Another solution to the problem

Versamail is the problem with alot of 700p's going slow. After deleteing the VersaMail cache files, I noticed an adrenaline (sp?) rush with my 700p. Though as a post in another thread says... after a soft reset occurs, those cache files are recreated and the slowness come back to life.

Here's what I did, and it seems to have worked.. even after several soft resets.

1) Install Resco Explorer.
2) Soft Reset your 700p.
3) Right after 700p comes back online, do the following: (wait for phone to turn on, if set to do so).
4) Launch Resco Explorer
5) go to RAM
6) Delete the 3 files labeled MultiMail something or other (these files are usually locked right after "boot", but Resco is able to delete them if you do it quick enough)
7) Delete the VersaMail Cache files (MM).

Your 700p should experience some adrenaline as mine did. You should NOT have to soft reset after doing this for the speed to be noticed.

Since doing the above several days ago, I have noticed that my MM cache files have reappeared.. BUT, the multimail files are GONE and have not show themselves since. So maybe it was the MultiMail files that's actually the problem...

Post your outcomes so we all can see the effects.
