I was opening and closing my Sidekick 3, and then it restarted.

But that's not all... When it restarted, I scrolled down to phone, and where it usually says T-Mobile, it said Cingular.

But after it loaded my SIM card, it said T-Mobile again.

Wierd.

What's the deal with the 14 day thing with T-Mobile?
And what does the insurance cover?

Lol Nope sorry

Posted by: ESRyder312

You think they'll give me another one?
Every time I start up my Sidekick it says Cingular, then it switches to T-Mobile.
It's pissin me off.

SideKicks will roam onto the cingular network regularly....it happend often to me with the SK2 im assuming thats normal

Posted by: peterbrowne

your roaming, it will happen on any SKIII that you get

Okay, so if it restarts outta nowhere, you think they'll replace mine with a new one? Or do I need to buy insurance for that?

are you within the return period?

Posted by: ESRyder312

Well I got it the first day it came out, which was June 28... Which was less than 14 days ago, even though I can wait up to 30 days since I live in California. So if you are referring to that 14, (or 30 day) period as the return period, than yes.

So DO you think they would replace mine? And if so, do you think they would let me do it at the store, or do I have to send it in and wait til they receive it, and then wait til they send me a new one?

Posted by: mj2323

they can do it in the store if they have any left....

You might have to argue for it a bit. They should replace it under any odd circumstance.

At least it displayed "Cingular." Had it said "Sprint" or "Verizon Wireless," well, then, that would have been weird.

Posted by: ESRyder312

But they SHOULD be able to replace it IN the store right?

I don't want to go through sending it out and all that.

You are in California, where T-Mobile bought the Cingular towers. It will say Cingular from time to time, but its no problems as long as you have national plan.

no u have 2 send it out....the store cant do the exchange usually

Posted by: ESRyder312

Damn it, now it says "Network Error Processing Request" every time I dial #225# or any of those... What the hell...

Posted by: shady104

mine freezes sometimes and gets a lil sluggish

Posted by: ESRyder312

And in addition to everything else, I can't receive any calls...
What the hell is going on?

Posted by: xBilly

yeah a lot of people are having problems with that right now

Posted by: xBilly

My friend just called t-mobile. They said that phones that got new sim cards within the last 2 months are having problems and it should be fixed within 4 - 6 hours.. However I got mine in 2003 and I'm having problems

Posted by: terryjohnson16

I don't have any problems on my Samsung E730. I had my SIM for 4 years now.
