hey quick Q...

i'm still using an good ol' 32k sim from 1999 when cingular still gave pac bell sims. will this at all affect full performance of a w810i? will i still be able to use all the features?

...and btw, anyone know the life expectancy of these sims???

THANKS!!!

wont affect performance. it should last for a long time. people are still using 8k PacBell SIMs.

COOL - though i thought i remember that cingular updated the sims to offer better reception through the way it selected which cell towers to use...

ALSO, how handicap do you all think the w810i will be after cingular re-does its firmware???

Cingular will make the phone buggier. For Example more people with the Cingular version of the W600i experienced the WSOD (White screen of death) then people with the unbranded version. I plan on getting a W810i unlocked unbranded once it is closer to $300 shipped from plemix or lala-west.

I still have the 32K sim card - I use it with BB8700, Samsung D500, and SE W810i.

However, if you ever decide to use new LG CU500 (3G phone) or any 3G devices - you'll have to get a new 3G sim card.

keep the 32k sim as long as you can.

Who knows, the next thing you see in the errors of Cingular + Sony Ericsson is this.
