Hi again guys I have been spoiled but I was hoping you could put some txt at the bottom of the .Gifs as my modded firmware does not have the usuall "sms" and "contacts" on the phone so if you could "proud to be an arab" would be great as space is available

Hi mate, you need to open the image, then press 'live trace'. That converts the image from pixels to lines (vector). Then you can fine tune it so it looks how you want.

Once it looks good, press 'expand' and using the magic wand, select and delete the background, so you only get the image when saved.

Finally, export the image to either emf or wmf so you can use it in Xara.

That seems strange??? If you select the image by clicking on it, the live trace button should appear on the toolbar. At least it does on my version (CS2)

I will make some more animated walls if someone asks nicely for them, but they take a fair bit of time which I don't have a lot of at the moment, although I'm enjoying making these so I'm spending a little time on it for my own amusement and practice reasons really!! Personally I think it far easier for someone to take a still image and resize it in Paint or whatever but I know that some people find it difficult.
I need to know specifically what you want, and a link if you have one would be an advantage (again, because I don't have a lot of spare time so you'll have to bear with me for a while). I'm sure one or two of the other guys here would be happy to help too!

Plus having spent some time taking logos that other people have made here, I thought it a gesture to make an effort myself and give a little back too

is there a chance you could try making them 220x176? i stated it alot of times but everybody gets mixed up and make 176x220 instead

i love the quality of you wallpapers and i would appreciate it if you could spend a few secs converting them

Hi Pogee I will have a go at these later. I use, as does Diggsy, Illustrator to create the trace vector image, and Xara3D To create the animated log and effects. I also use Paint shop Pro to remove the backgronds if needed.

We use Xara 3D for the animations/3D Effects, and Illustrator CS2 to create a vector image/.wmf file to use in Xara. I also use Erase Background options in Paint Shop Pro for photos like yours to create the picture (for example of Bruno without all the background).

Takes a bit of skill but it gets easier once you have the first one done and working!

Unfortunately the software I used (Xara 3d) only allows max of 9999 loops, rather than infinite. A tad silly I know, but that's all it allows.

If you like I will open it in another app and see if I can make it infinite.

EDIT: In fact, here you go, edited in another app to make infinite. Hope these work better for you.....

Hmmm, let's see, here's my process....

1 - Open original image in Adobe PS and change size to no more than 240px wide

2 - Remove whatever background area you don't want

3 - Save for web, as PNG

4 - Open in Adobe Illustrator

5 - Live Trace the image, then adjust settings so it is close as poss to the original (black and white only)

6 - Expand the image, select the background and delete it

7 - Export as WMF

8 - Open Xara 3d

9 - Import the WMF

10 - Adjust bevel etc to suit

11 - Change 'Text Face' to texture and open your PNG File

12 - Adjust lighting, animation until you are happy

13 - Finally, export animation, making sure to set size to 240x320
