New to Kyocera KX5 Remix (Beginners Guide)

I'm switching to CricKet (cincinnati) soon & i'm going to get the Kyocera KX5 Remix. I would like your help in getting all the info and software I need to customize this wonderful device. Also links for accessories.

I have been reading this forum for the past 2 days and cant make heads or tails out of anything written. I'm brand new at kyocera devices. I think it would be really nice if all the info was in the same place for people like me.

well I am brand new as well....got my kyocera slider remix just a cple days ago, when I got it ......I got on here and learnt almost all I needed to know in just a cple of hrs searching.......yes it takes time
but u will probably need
mobile phonetools
bitpim
kpst
all those are programs to manipulate your phone and/or to make wallpaper, screen savers, and ringtones ie transfers

Do this:
Get a TransFlash media card and either the USB data cable or a USB TransFlash reader for your PC.
That's it.
No hacking necessary, unless you want to increase video recording time. But that's about all you would need to "hack" about this phone using Cricket.
The phone uses .MP3 files NATIVELY. That includes ringtones and MP3 playback. This works BEST when using the TransFlash media card.

This phone is a piece of cake to use and modify. There's really nothing to hack on it except WAP and that will be available soon anyway. *shrugs*
