yes, on the phone.

1. goto Music Player.
2. press DOWN to playlists
3. Select Options then Create New (or what ever it says)
4. Then make the title and finish!
5. Add any songs you want in the order u want them to play by selecting options when hghlighting a song and pick add to playlist, then chose which one.

mmm well i guess mine is missing that menu then or something...i will try re formatting later and then goin to see if it is there before i put any songs on there...but thanks

Posted by: kimmee

if you figure out how to unlock that menu please share, mine is missing too! I was wondering the same thing.

Posted by: sinoloco69in

tahts crassy how could it be missing it?? u think its a kyocera problem?

Posted by: kimmee

Maybe an alltel thing?? I dunno. But when you go into music player there's just the list of songs on your card. If you press down it just scrolls the list. the 2 soft keys are for play and options. the only things under options are, shuffle, repeat, delete song, etc. No way to make a playlist.

Posted by: buckguin

Mine doesnt have it either.. Maybe there is a way in KPST to unlock it??

Are you sure you aren't confusing the KX5 with some other phone? While I do know from experience that some carriers (i.e., Alltel) disable some Kyocera functionality, I don't see where that has happened in this case. Kyocera's own user guide for the KX5 has NOTHING on custom playlists.

tcovil...not to chage teh forum too much ,...but what does alltel disable besides the two games?...and 255s recording time for video? thanks!

Posted by: sinoloco69in

na kyocera disables the 255 secs of video cause i think the network doesnt support sending videos that long thats y

I would guess that Alltel disabled it, I have US Cellular and I have the option. Here are pictures to prove it...

well if they diabled it, then, there should be a way to Enable it via kpst!....right???? Anyone know if this can be done? Also, again, besides this, the 255sec of video and the two games, oes anyone else know of anything that Alltel disabled on this phone?? Maybe I could be using Java and replace my TV remote with my slider but Alltel won't let me ! HAHA lol...

...no really, can I? ...

The games and the record time are the two things I know of for sure. Seems like there was something with Bluetooth that was disabled -- maybe file transfer over Bluetooth? I thought I read something about that, but not sure.

Jake's pictures and the custom playlists -- someone MUST look into this and figure out how to enable it in KPST! But I still don't understand why Kyocera's user guide doesn't mention the functionality. This is the user guide off Kyocera's website, not affiliated with Alltel in any way.

EDITED TO ADD: Okay, now I get it. From Kyocera's website and their online support, their document 15725 "Understanding Music Player" says the following: "Due to Service Provider Specifications there may be some slight differences in the appearance and choices available with your phone's Music Player from those shown in this document."

Slight differences, indeed. I'd say the ability to customize your playlist is more than a slight difference. You US Cellular users, I'm jealous.

cricket has it too!!

Posted by: bigdaikon

Any other goddies that Cricket or US cellular have? Can either of them do a file transfer with bluetooth. Frankly I don't understand why you can't, and the fact that alltel tries to push its mobile phone tools setup to transfer files when it is unnesesary makes me think that maybe they crippled the bluetooth to try and force some users into buying their software.

Anyone have extensive knowledge of Kpst and want to enlighten us?

please

Posted by: thefaceeater

yeh that sucks for us alltel users.
i would kill if i could find a way to do file transfers via bluetooth on my kx5

Posted by: bigdaikon

kill you say....???

muhawhawhaw!!!!

Posted by: Jakes

My object push works.

I love you US Cellular!

Don't feel bad Alltel users, we don't get My Circle.

Posted by: baker11

i havent been on in awhile but if someone does figure out how to make a custom music list please tell me!!!!!

Posted by: bigdaikon

There must be some setting in kpst to enable these things,....right??? ??? just a matter of figuring it out......

Posted by: thefaceeater

i havent been able to find anything on kpst about this. nor anything about bluetooth object push

Posted by: baker11

okay could it be possible to just change out the mp3 player interface or w/e on the phone kx5? cuse i think i have seen it before in QPST so couldnt u just replace it with another interface so we could have fast forward and custom playlists?? i dont know if its possible its just a thought that came to my mind...

Posted by: baker11

ahhh no one has any comments on if this is possible?????????????????????????????

Posted by: baker11

okay so no comments on this...what if we could just take the mp3 player that us cellular users have and put it on ours is that all possible?

Posted by: simple3

http://www.kyocera-wireless.com/sli...ser_english.pdf

although this is a little different than the version of the manual that comes with cricket's remix. but both instruct how to make a playlist

Posted by: bigdaikon

Thanks for the manual,.....there must be a way to do this,....and US celular or ckricket users have a firmware we could use to flash the phone to or do a seem edit?

Posted by: baker11

so has anyone found anything else on this?

Posted by: bigdaikon

is there a way to flash another firmware to our phones?
