I am using a RAZR V3m and was thinking about adding either a 500m or 1g microSD memory card.

2 questions about the decision:

Does anyone know if more memory will deplete the battery noticeably faster?

Is there a difference between the TransFlash and other microSD memory? The phone manual says TransFlash, but it appears it is just a naming consideration, i.e. Sandisk or other.

I saw something about a 1g memory making a difference in how the internal memory was handled, but I don't remember exactly what it meant.

Answer to question 1 : It won't deplete your battery noticeably faster.
Answer to question 2: When Transflash memory cards first came out they were call Transflash or T-Flash for short but when they became more main stream they decided to rename it to microSD for the public sake since they thought Transflash was a difficult name. So Transflash and microSD are the same exact thing
