Nokia E61 - Showing "Last Name First Name" in inbox!

I just got the E61 - and I'm loving it.

However, there's one thing that bothers me. When I got the phone it came (by default) showing the last-name first on all my contacts - I quickly changed it to "First Name Last Name". So far, so good.

But my inbox doesn't seem to follow this setting. I'm still getting Last Name First Name. But, in my Sent Items, it will actually show First Name Last Name *if* I started the "conversation" - meaning that all the SMS messages that I have sent are shown as First Name Last Name, whereas all replied messages are shown as Last Name First Name (just like the inbox).

Any ideas, or is this just a bug - or even a "feature"?

My 6620 does the same thing maybe its something to do with Symbian??

I mean, I know it's not a real "problem" - but it's just so freakin annoying having these type of bugs. But check out at this picture I found over at allaboutsymbian.com, seems correct doesn't it?

Yeah, In this picture it is correct, I have no clue how to fix it I've looked all thru the settings on my 6620 nothing i see

i think u should email nokia and see what they say

but i thought they already have a new fw which can prompt the user to change the display method?

I'm not sure what you mean, but yeah - I have that option, but only for Contacts. The other option I have is to list all messages (or e-mails) on either 1 or 2 lines (think outlook 2003) - I'm using the 1-line option, just like the picture above.

You should contact nokia or the official nokia forums about this. They might create a a fw to fix this in the future

I wouldn't mind having it that way -- but my company use "First Name Last Name" troughout the entire system (Exchange-server, Contacts (clients), intranet-lists and so on), so I'd like to have it that way on my cell phone as well.

why not just enter the entire name in the first name field?

they will say sorry but i doubt they can do much...unless they know how to solve your problem~

somebody in the fw flashing thread says the last name, first name issue is solve with flashing even if it is the same fw.... i thought that the hard re-set 3 button combi might be able to do it, but it didnt help at all...

Bingo! Or do as I did: enter first name on last name field and vice versa. Problem solved.

^ proabbly new fw change will correct that, afaik most nokia phones do that~
