X800 data cable for VS2

I bought an X800 datacable thinking it could work with my VS2 but i can't get it to work, i installed USB data suite and when it tries to detect the USB connection it keeps telling me to connect the phone and advices me to unplugg and replug the cable after 3 seconds.
I noticed that the files that it contains was windows 80 and windows 2000 drivers, but none of them wan't to install in my system.
So my question is, does the X800 data cable works VS2? or am i doing it all wrong? or could it be a defective data cable?
