pretty self explaining...

anyways really feeling a sharp 703 want to know what you guys thought and if its worth me spending the extra cash above street price on one....

hard to find a full black one in ukfirmware on boards

Does a specific UK or European firmware exist for the 703SHf?
I know that VFone UK released the 703SH (limited stock?) and it's available from VFone Greece and perhaps other European VFone providers... never heard of the 703SHf officially making it to Europe though.

Well, in case you'd go for a 703SH instead, most likely your VFone shop will put the UK "version" onto it, e.g. mine was actually purchased in Greece however, VFone Germany offered to install the German "version"... I am using quotations for the only difference is that each version has pre-installed APN and network settings by the respective VFone provider.
Every now and then you can find Japanese Sharp phones apparently flashed with European firmware by VFone shops on German eBay too. So I guess that shouldn't be a problem in the UK.

No it doesn't. Released in Japan only, hence JP firmware is the only one in existence.

That's pretty much right, they're all going to be Euro firmwares with the same eleven languages, just that stored network settings are different, and some messaging options (live! postcard, Vodafone Messenger, Media Album etc) may be available or hidden.

703SHf is an Japan only phone, it has FeliCa, and you'll never see a FeliCa enabled phone sold outside Japan unless it's been imported by someone.

no, you can't flash a 703shf to 703sh firmware. However, you can unlock it so it is useable outside of Japan.

you can flash it.. but u have to find the right person to do it and willin to go thru the trouble. its a very long process and lots of issues

and there are many ppl using a 703SHF in canada. but they are using japanese firmware.
