Hey, I heard you can email ringtones to the 8300 and like phones thru tendigitcellnumber@vzwpix.com ... is it free to do this if u have unlimited IN text/pix messages?

With the unlimited IN packages, it will count out of your additional allowance.

Verizon told you wrong. Or they have you on the wrong plan that only includes txt. But if you have a camera phone, you should be on the plan that includes txt-pix-flix.

Hello i do not own a data cable or have blue tooth technology for the LG Vx8300 phone. I have heard of the vzwpix.com trick but am having a very hard time getting this trick to work. I've made 30 second mp3 files, mid files, and everything, but i can't get the phone to say the words "save as" when im in the menu on the phone checking the email. I have verizon network set up. I log into the vzwpix.com with my phone, check the email, and ive tried before and after when going into the email. But i still dont see the option even with the right soft key that looks like a large - on the phone. There just is no option for save as. Please help me out.

You wouldn't log onto vzwpix.com (Pix Place) to save the tone. You send the tone to your tendigit#@vzwpix.com and your phone receives a pix message with the tone attached. When you open the pix message and go to options, save as ringtone should be there.

Do you have to have EVDO enabled to do this? I disabled it on my V3M in order to use the phone as a bluetooth modem. I'm trying to email a mp3 and having no luck. Sent as a regular email to mynumber@vzwpix.com, it gets bounced back, saying:

"Message could not be delivered to mobile.
Error: Wap Encoding Error"

Using funformobile.com, I get the message on my phone, it tries to download it (says "receiving message" with a status bar), then fails and says unable to download. =(

I've searched, but only got a couple hits for these errors, and no solutions.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Jeff

Funformobile.com is a great website! just thoght I would put that out there. And the file you are sending to your phone through fun for mobile is probably to big. Sending somthing over 350k probably wont work

Hm, I guess I'll give it another try with a smaller file. But this site has been working for me, despite having to wait about an hour for the upload:
