Hi, just got a Morotola L6 which I brought down from the US (I live in Costa Rica). It is a GSM and everything works except sending text messages to someone. Ive been told apparently it has to have some kind of software upgrade or something which they do at the store here but its like 60 bucks which sounds pretty pricey for something that probably takes em no more than 5 mins...

I was wondering if any of you guys know if I could download the software upgrade or whatever it is that I need to do to get my phone to send text messages.
