i'm a noob at modding razrs but i have modded my old nextel a lil. anyways. i tryed to put some new skins on my friends razr but nothing worked.

that's not the reason i'm making the thread or i need help. after i did that i played on his phone for a lil bit and now he only has 8 icons in his menu and it's stuck in the list mode. also his messages icon is completly gone off the phone. he can receive texts and reply to them but he can't send em out for some reason. i didn't do anything to the software or firmware or seems or flashing.

i feel really bad about kinda messing up his phone and i want to fix it. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Which Razr, gsm or cdma? I'd flash it again to another updated firmware to see if the missing item would return.

it's a cdma. i haven't flashed it all. i haven't done any seems on it. it's a lil over a year old he doesn't know what model it is.

i have no idea. i checked a box for party lights but it didn't work, it also made the video camera stop working. i went back in and fixed the video cam but then the other stuff was missing

i just reflashed it and now the screen doesn't work. it's completley black. i can hear the numbers if i dial something but that's it

Take the battery out with power on, then put it back in 5 seconds later. See if it'd help. BTW, which version did you flash it to?

Is it a Verizon V3c or Alltel or Telus??

it's a cingular. he got it back in jan of 05 so i don't know what model it is. i wrote down some numbers off it. R374

Okay, now you got me confused. Cingular use GSM and that's why I asked you if it's CDMA or GSM. Find another flash file and flash it again if I were you.

oh i'm sorry. i thought it was cdma. sorry about that. what do you recommend i flash with this time? will the rsd lite work or should i use something else?

the phone isn't unlocked it still has the cingular on the screen. well when you could see the screen that is. should i just monsterpack it? with a retail motorola flash or should i do something else?

Not really. I dont' sit infront of my pc all day long. Anyway, here's what I would do. Use the search here to find the firmware for GSM Moto phones. Then download it to my pc, I don't use RSD Lite, I use multiflash so I am sure what to tell you. Then I would flash it to whatever firmware I download. Hope this help.
