Hi All,

Been off the site for a while, I'm reasearching the Qtek 8500 as a replacement back from my blackberry 8700r.

Does anyone know if the 8500 will have the AKU2 ROM on it so that the Push email from my exchange server will work properly?

Tom

it already has AKU 2.3

so it has the MS Messaging and security pack in it? that is really what I'm looking for.

yes, it has push e-mail enabled already.

sorry if these seem like silly questions. I like this phone and just want to make sure... are you usingthe push email? any gotchas?

Using the push email (called DirectPush).

Check the other threads for the "missed calls" issue.

its as easy as pie to set up and use. forwarding your mail isn't the fastest in the world, but if you don't have an exchange account at work, it's really the only way.

Hi everyone. Sorry if this is a silly question, but I would like to learn how to enable Direct Push on my Qtek 8500. I actually have an email address and my phone is configured to check emails every 2 hours. I do not sync emails with my PC, nor do I have any exchange servers. I understand that with Direct Push, checking emails every 2 hours is unnecessary, as any emails sent to that address can be configured to immediately arrive at my Qtek 8500 using Direct Push, right? In that case, I really want to enable this feature and hope someone can help me. Thanks to all for any help. Regards,

Alan
