Hey,

I am new to this fourm and got a V3M RAZR phone and now I'm stuck as it will only play .WMA files. Someone at Verizon said to activate the .MP3 files in the securityfunciton and I don't know how to get into this . Please give me step by step instructions on how to allow .MP3 file associations so that I can save the money on the Music Essentials kit. On my old Motorola E-815 it played MP3s and .WMAs . No where on the V3M Box or in the manual did it say it only supports .WMA. All my files are in .MP3 so I want it to play in .MP3.

Also how do I get the Voice that reads out my contacts and phone numbers to come from the upper speaker rather than the speakerphone? On my E-815 it played from the regular upper sepaker the one you hear the conversation from as opposed to the speakerphone. It gets annoying in public when I want to use this feautre.

if it has vcast music mostly it will play wmas but you will get more help with this like RY RY said in the verizon forum.

the V3M will play MP3's only ONE AT A TIME or as ring tones...

If you want to use the phone as a "mp3 player" with play list support and such... You must use the Verizon Music Player app which only supports WMA's...
