I bought a 2 gig OEM miniSD card off of amazon.com and all it does is freeze my phone when I insert the card. Do I have to format the card, and if so how? Or is the card not compatible because its not SanDisk brand? Here's the amazon link where I bought it:

I bought 2GB Transcend at Fry's and I dont' have to format the card. I just plugged it in and it work right away.

I have a SanDisk 2 Gb Mini SD and it works great!

I would try formatting it...

But it could also be a program that you installed previously onto an old MiniSD card that is causing you grief...
Is there a program that you installed previously that is no longer on the device? If so, maybe try un-installing that or those programs...

There were a couple of people on another forum who had problems with that card - the seller promptly sent them a new one, so I'd just contact the seller - sheureka

I read a post on newegg that complained about the formating of the Trancend MiniSD card and using it with PPC-6700.
