Damn right they dont, Bose are by far the worst speakers ever made. Way overpriced and you can get way more out of a standard system, or is size is an issue look at the KEF "eggs."

Bose actually has some exception (as well as very crappy) products in their professional line. They are like any company, just because one product is great, doesn't mean everything else they do will be good.

Bose definitely are over-priced and anything you would find at FS/BB/CC will not be their quality products. As a good rule of thumb remember "If it has no highs, and it has no lows, you must be listening to a set of Bose"

I have neve had an experience with a Bose product but became a tad suspicious when they came out with that product called "The Wave Radio".
I have never used it nor do I know anyone who has but there was something sleazy about the presentation and the way the product was marketed, very "snake oil salesman" if you ask me.

I don't know about the quality, but Bose is way overpriced. You could easily get a much better product for half the price.

I'd buy a Bose car suspension though

So are you saying bose speakers produce mid's??? I think you got it the other way around.

Anyways, I think Bose speakers are overpriced. Bose speakers sound good imo. Yes its true they don't really produce mid's, but the high's are definetly good. The low's sound pretty good too.

Bose makes great speakers, don't try to bash that. If they didn't make good speakers, why would people buy them??? I'm not saying Bose is the best you can get, but they are definetly good.

I have Bose 701's, and they produce great sound. I don't listen to music on my home theatre, so I guess the need for mid's imo are not necessary. You guys are making it sound as if Bose makes garbage speakers, in which they don't.

The 701's are powered speakers. I've never heard the actual speakers hooked up to an external power source to get the true frequency response of the actual drivers. They are a complete unit with amp matched to the speakers so they would have as close to flat response as Bose could get.

My statement was referring to Bose professional cabinets. They are known for building their cabinets, loading drivers into the cabinets and then checking frequency response. They then use frequency shaping via an external controller to change the input signal to produce a flat response on the output. This isn't necessarily bad, if you want to use a complete Bose system from mixer output to speakers.

Most companies design their components to provide a near flat response as individual components to work with other manufacturer's components.

Bose speakers are over-priced for the quality you get. They are far from being garbage, but they are not premium speakers, just premium-priced speakers. If you want to hear amazing sound quality, with the ability to run at deafening levels for a prolonged time, check out Turbosound's Impact line. A pair of Impact 50 mated with teh Impact 110 passive subwoofer can outperform speakers that are much larger and more expensive

Completely agree. If it lives up to half the hype it will still be the best suspension on the market.

The reason behind Bose's success is what they do with limited space in their tweeters. They're not bad, not as bad as the review says.
