Kyocera Xcursion KX160 "File type invalid" with Ringtones

Ok, I downloaded some pre-made ringtones for the KX160 (.mid's), that others ive read have used. I then emailed them to my phone, and when I receive them, they play fine. However, when I try to save them, I get "file type invalid".
I dont get it?
