V635(Or any other moto) freezes when starting a text message

My v635 just recently started to freeze when I would try to enter text using ITap, I looked around but there was no good answer, just somebody who had back files for their V635, and used them to fix the problem.

So here is how I fixed the problem. I downloaded "iTAP Dictionary Editor" not Itapper, and had it download my Itap file, I clicked check and it said that my Itap was Overflood(Overloaded I guess) and that I had to delete some entries before I could save it.

I really did not care about the stuff there, so I just deleted all of them(accept the last one, it does not allow you to delete that one), and saved it and now its fine.

Why does'nt the V635(Or other moto) just delete the oldest entry from the file, I don't know.

Hello, i have finally found someone with the exact problem as me. Actually its my daughters phone and its freezes when she tries to text message, and she also uses itap.I really don't understand how you fixed the problem so could you please give me some detailed instructions. Also her phone sometimes freezes at startup, Did you have problems like this too? The majority of her freezing was when she does text message's but i am curious about the start up issue. I will be patiently waiting for your post. I have another question, will a master reset or a master clear fix this problem?

Sorry for the delay in responce. A work around to the problem is to not use Itap. To switch out of Itap, start a new message then hit the menu button, then select "Entry Setup" and select regular(or anything else) TAP.

Thats a work around.

To fix the problem
Go to http://www.e398mod.com/content/view/171/28/

and
Download "iTAP Dictionary Editor" extract it,
connect the phone to the computer(USB),
run the iTAP Dictionary Editor,
click on the editor tab (You might need to change the language to english), click on the picture of the red arrow pointing to the phone,
once it connects to the phone,
click on the picture of the green arrow pointing away from the phone,
try to delete all the words(It being your daughter, some words in there might be surprising),
you can try to delete all but one word entry will remain,
then click on the picture of the green arrow pointing towards the phone.

I suggest you restart the phone, but you probably do not have to.
