wierd problems with my sharp 903sh

I just bought a sharp 903sh, everything's working fine, but oddly I always have the little briefcase on top where the signal bars are. I know the briefcase icon means that the phone is in roaming, but I know it's not. I wanted to know why that's happening and if there's anyway to correct it? thanks

Maybe you're a Cingular Orange user roaming onto a Cingular Blue area or vice versa.

Maybe you can try to select the network manually...

i have cingular...well...old att sim card. I see the briefcase, so far, i don't see any problems. no roaming fee or anything.

Is the briefcase just an eyesore to you? lol

lol, to some extent yeah it's an eyesore. I haven't been billed for roaming yet so that's not a problem. My main concern is maybe I can assign it to a network that gets me better reception. I tried to change my networks manually, but I only have 1 choice of networks for cingular in this area anyways. I have cingular orange btw. But yeah it's mostly an eyesore then for nowI guess

well if you haven't been billed, dont' worry about it too too much..
