My MPX220 display has gone crazy!

I usually charge my batteries in a desktop charger 'cause the phone wont charge, Yesterday after installing a newly charged battery and powering on, the display went crazy, like a vga monitor that has the resolution set above the range it can handle. You can just about see the various colours on the display but just made up of slanting lines. Anyone ever experience this and is there any solution? Does this mean the end of life for the phone?

Wirelessly posted (HTC-2125/1.2 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows CE; Smartphone; 240x320) UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago! i think it is something with the moving parts and the flip. i was able to temporarily fix it each time i used the phone by holding the top half in different positions. it got worse. then i got the 2125, so i'm not going back.

Open it up and check the connection from the top-half to the lower-half. I don't remember if it was on the front or back, but there is a small connector that attached to the upper assembly. This most likely has come loose. Its a simple snap-on connector.

Anyone know how to take this phone apart?

Call Cingular and have it exchaged. If you have gone through multiple MPx220's then complain to them and insist on a new Windows Smartphone (2125)
