If anyone is interested.
My wife has a Verizon V3c w/ .04 firmware which would not allow MultiMedia Studio to work. I used info found on Mark Venture's site and and SEEMed the 6A Bit 0. Then used notepad to open the Detect.INF file of MPT and found the V3c Rev2 driver, which uses driver=v3cr, and changed the 'r' to an 'm'. Also, changed the V3c driver to driver=v3cm, and saved the file.
I then opened MPT and was able to transfer files & pics between phone and pc using USB cable.
Hope this can help someone.

Hi, I'm new to the site. My Verizon VC3 also will not allow multimedia transfers. I have the .03 firmware. I'm also not a techy. Is there step by step instructions to make the necessary changes on my phone to allow the multimedia function to work. Thanks for the help in advance!

Where is the Detect.INF file located in MPT to change the r to m?

the Detect.inf file should be in the root folder where you saved MPT on hard drive.

Another way to find it is to do a search from the Windows Start button.
