Motorola Q Issue.. Not Turning On

My Friend Bought The Phone When It Came Out And Now It Doesn't Turn On... It Stays Stuck At The Verizon Wireless Screen @ Startup And Never Gets Past It... Verizon Cs Was No Help, Anyone Know Of A Possible Fix?

hard reset? and i have no idea how to do that as i don't own a q (nor will i).

Today the Q went blank and just showed Verizon on the screen then the fun started, It started flashing even when I took out the battery and put it back in. Took it back to a verizon store and he exchanged with a new on. Hope this one last longer...
