i was wondreing what enabling screensaver in codeplug does for i870/i875. i have carrier 16 with the patch. you go to user ergonomics/tiering flags/ line 91. has anyone tried this???

Does nothing. Phone does not support it.

We think its a place holder in the CP for phones to come that will support it.

Come to think of it, the 650 and 860 both have it.... or it that 850?

maybe the upcoming dual mode phone will have it, sprint phones usually have screensavers. i was also wondering what does enabling startup media tone do. it tiering flags/line 35.

it was 850, not 650....

On Nextel's website, they sell screensavers.... that might have something to do with the screensaver setting...

Startup media tone could be like some phones I have seen, when the phone powers up, it plays a little tune... like for example, when the Nextel logo comes up, it could play a Nextel type theme or tune.....

That probably could be done, like how you can change the startup images.... if you could find out the file name, and enable it in the CP... you could play a tune when the phone boots!
