i have a gd55 and for some reason holding down the one key won't connect me to my messages. also the phone will not tell me when i have a message. any reason why?any people with the gd87 having the same prob?

I can't get it either. The "speed dial" feature of the phone is clunky. It's based on the location of your numbers on your SIM card. The way the phonebook is set up is a little confusing, too. Either you view your SIM phonebook or your Phone's phonebook. Is there a setup option that I'm missing?

What I did was just entered my phone number and just navigated to it. Is there an easier way to do this?

I'm 50/50 as to keeping the phone or returning it.

i just saved the gsm voicemail number into my phone as aaamessages. therefore all i do is hit name then send.(cause its the first name on the list.) the only way i know if i have voicemail though is when i get a text message saying i have voicemail. tehre is no indicator.

but no that i am thinking about it switched to tdma while i was waiting for my gd55 to come in the mail, for a couple a days. maybe they canceled my inhansed voicmail package. which gives you the indicator.

Yeah, I kinda did something like that. I put numbers in front to represent a pseudo-speed dial:

1 VOICEMAIL
2 HOME
3 BLAH
4 BLAH
5 BLAH

So all I have to do is just hit Names then whatever.

How do you like it so far? Any shortcomings? I just got it today, and I'm still noodling around with it.
