VS7 Band change

Hi, I'm using PhoneTool v9.5 and in the status screen it says that may VS7 is really quadband supporting 850/900/1800/1900

This is what it shows:

Target SW Ver: NBG_LEOPARD_05.24 SMARTI_SDB1 SGOLDliteV1.1
Target EEP Ver: 150
RF Band Support: 850 & 900 & 1800 & 1900Mhz
RF:
BaseBand: S-GOLDlite v1.1
Features present: FFS, BlueTooth, AM/FM Radio., MPEG3, Voice Rec, Reduced Signaling Test, Camera, LED & Backlight, IrDa, Monitor Sig.,

I'm trying to change the 900 band to 850 since here in southamerica the carriers only use 850/1800, so in rural zones (or not big urban citys) I have no coverage.
So, ¿anyone knows if this is posible?
If it is, how do I change bands??

Thanks a lot!

It would be great, if there was a lot of support for our phone like Motorola. This is still a great phone and I love it when I flip it open and people turn look in amazement

I wonder what else lies a secret in this phone...

Well, the proof is in my first post. Simply connect the phone via usb cable to PhoneTools v9.5 (or v10) and you will see wich RF bands are supported.
Mine says 850/900/1800/1900.
The real deal is how to make it work on 850. I guess there must be a way to mod this but I can figure it out.

So, I hope someone could give us a hand!

I know that some cellular unlock companies can do qualband upgrade service for motorola and nokia. Don't know if they can do with Panasonics ones. Probably it wouldn't be anything that we can do it on our own, cause we need tools and it's risky.

Here's one of the company who will do the upgrade, call them and have a try.

Lol, let us know too your result. Thank you.
