Anyone know how to make the MPX220 not show who i'm talking to on the external lcd?? It bugs the crap outta me!!!

I actually like it i think.....i dunno, weird but i like it. LOL

Posted by: MisterChief

Really? I dont know why but it just flat out annoys me for some reason. I dont like people in my business i guess...

so they know you're talking to "Jane Doe" i'm saying, PTT on Nextel is waaaaaay worse wouldn't you say? I guess i'll shut up tho and wait for someone to reply with some helpful information.

sidenote: i wonder if the WM5 flip, the HTC StrTRK (Qtek 8500) does this also. Other phones wouldn't be affected since they aren't flip.

Use a registry editor to do this:

=========================
LCD Logo
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\ExternalLCD]
"FlipLogo"
Change it to “1” for logo.
==========================

Restart your phone and now it will just display the Moto Logo instead of any calling info when you flip it open.

Oh...and if your setting is already set to "1", then change it to "0"...i might be mistaken on which does what.

Enjoy.

i was thinking that but i wasn't sure if that applies. I know it does change it from the time to the moto logo but i dunno if it changes it during a call also that's why i dind't suggest it.

So yeah, to the guy above, if your aren't on the phone and you open it it wont show the time and date as it does now, just say Moto like most Cingular phones do anyways.

I'll give it a try, thanks a lot!

You know - that should really be in the control panel options. I don't cheat on my wife/girlfiend but for people who do or take a personal call at work or just want to talk to someone without advertising it - it would annoy the piss out of me. I'm not really in any of those boats but that should really be an option.

I know, it should be a setting you can easily change in the options. But, I guess its not meant to be changed easily
