Man, am I ticked off. Just ported over from Sprint to VzW; I don't need bluetooth or lot's of bells & whistles. But I do need my phone to ring and vibrate SIMULTANEOUSLY!! Well, the CDMA Moto v325 (and most other Vz Motos, it seems) won't do it. WTF?? Is this another Vz cripple, or did Motorola get retarded? I'm seeing that it may be possible to do a seem edit to get vibrate-then-ring, which I could learn to live with, but now I have to learn to hack my new, warrantied phone?? (grumbling noises.....)

The lack of Vibrate AND Ring is a Motorola CDMA thing - no idea why they leave that out - it annoyed me for a while, and I used to participate in some of the threads about it.

The lack of the Vibrate THEN Ring option is the fault of the Verizon UI. The Motorola UI has it, but Verizon doesn't include it on their UI for some reason.

Apparently the Moto Q does have Vibe AND Ring... but of course.. its a "smart phone"...

I have a V3c with MetroPCS, and the manual says that you can make it ring and vibrate. However, I am missing the correct menu to do so (or I am just special). My sister has the same phone on VW and you can make it ring and vibrate. It's not a menu option though. You have to set the main setting to vibrate and then go to "vibrate detials" and change calls from "vibrate" to whatever ringtone (granted this is the way my manual says to do it too but I can't figure it out).

I don't have a V3c to try that on, but the E815 and V710 just ring with the ringtone you selected in the vibrate details if you do that.

someone else claimed to see it in the manual, but NOT as an option on the phone...

Interesting.. as this was attempted in another thread... because someone's manual said it works.. BUT when tested it was found that if you have the phone set to the "vibrate" ring style, and assign a RING TONE to calls... and set the volume to anything but 0... the phone RINGS.. not vibrates, not ring and vibrate...

Yeah, I spent an hour trying to figure what I was doing wrong... the V325 manual says (pg.35) "If you set Call Vibrate to ON, the phone vibrates to indicate an incoming call. (If you also set Calls to a sound, the phone vibrates and rings to indicate an incoming call.)"

Well, Call Vibrate just doesn't exist on this phone.

Normally I leave the ring on Medium-Low so as not to be an obnoxious cellphone person. When I'm driving and my stereo's blasting, I'll never hear the ring (even at High). And if I toss the phone in a cargo pocket of my shorts, I usually don't feel the vibrate. So now I have to change my alert style about a dozen times a day.

Just seems incredible that something that's been a given on my other phones for so long is now being overlooked by a savvy company like Motorola.
