I have a 3vi and installed the phone tools on my Mac in virtual PC. It cannot initialize the phone in tools. It keeps on searching and trying to initialize but nothing.

Any suggestions? Does this only work on a PC?

Why use MPT in Virtual PC? Just download Moto4Lin, link is somewhere on mac.themotoguide.com. If all you want it ringers and whatnot, just use Bluetooth File Exchange or M4L.

thanks for the update i didnt know this site existed. i went onto the site and saw "compatable cell phones" but i didnt see the V3i RAZR ( of course) listed. do you know, off hand, if this would work for the V3i raxr ?

Use Sync on your Mac if you have it. You can sync your address book and your contacts.

That's right, forgot, duh!! But seriously, can I also sync from the phone to the Mac?

Yes, you can. When it syncs, all of your contacts will be transferred to the computer, specifically to the address book.
