Can I make an MP3 into a ringtone? If so, how?

Search and there is a lot of info on this in the Verizon forums.

Either e-mail them to the phone or put them in the audio folder with MPT. All sorts of information on both of these via search.

If you SEEM edit your phone to be accessible by Motorola Phone Tools you can simply copy the sound over by using the data transfer module and copying an MP3 to the audio directory, and the phone will use it as a ringtone, or you can use the multi media sound module's editing capability and crop out a section of an MP3 and use that, which saves a lot of space.

Hi,
I'm a completely new user to all of this, having just gotten my new (and quite sexy) v3m phone today. I was able to successfully upload music to my phone's internal memory thanks to a different post, and was wondering exactly how to upload custom ringtones also. I already created my mp3? clip from mobile17 and was wondering how exactly to go about uploading it to my phone's internal memory (since i didn't and don't plan on buying a chip). Also, what would I need (programs, SEEM?) to get everything moving along.

Thanks ya'll

HOW TO's on http://mark.cdmaforums.com = Price less

So, total costs = $5 to $10 + taxes and some time to read carefully before attempting!!
