Getting Ready to Dump SLVR L7

I'm using an unbranded SLVR L7 on T-Mobile US. When I first begin using it with firmware R4513_G_08.B7.DCR_RB, it frequently got into a state where it would not complete a call. Dial the number, phone says "Calling..." but no call is connected. Cannot receive calls in this state either. Only solution was to reboot the phone.
I have since flashed to firmware version R44419_G_08.D4.0FR_RB and have also done a SEEM 0032 edit to turn on Offset 02 Bit 1 to block a number of special calling features which looked like they might be related to the problem above. Since then the "Calling..." problem has disappeared but repalced by a new problem where the phone shows "No Service" in good service areas. By rebooting the phone it immediately shows 4-5 bars.
This new problem happens at least once a day just lkike the earlier problem.
With the new firmware, the phone also ocassionaly locks up, i.e. the keys dont work at all except to shut down and reboot.
I am very discouraged by the quality of the firmware for this phone. Thinking about dumping it and getting a Samsung T509 - thinner than the SLVR but not quad band.
Has anyone had the No Service or lock-up problems I describe? If you have seen none of these three probems, what version of firmware do you have and on what carrier?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm disappointed that I'vs gotten no response to my message. It's hard to believe that no one else has had these problems with the SLVR L7.
After four flashes of new firmware the phone still gets into a state where it will not complete a call - hangs on "Calling...", and cannot receive calls. This is only corrected after rebooting the phone. This happens at least one per day and I believe it may be related to using bluetooth handsfree (car kit, etc.) but I'm not sure about the cause.
It also sometimes shows "No Service" but after rebooting immeidauely shows five bars.
This is a great phone and I'm really sorry to give up on it, but these failures canott be ignored.
I've switched to a Samsung D820, but have kept my SLVR in case a fix comes along.

that sucks bro, i feel your pain, only thing i can suggest is trying out the YuetMod 1.5 monsterpack for the v360. it works in the slvr and it fixed almost all of my problems on both my v360 and slvr, so in case you havent tried that one, id give it a shot.

I have decided to give the SLVR another go. I flashed it to the MotoX DAR version of 4513 firmware and in general it has worked well for five days.
I have had one instance of the "Calling..." problem where it will not make or receive calls even though it shows good signal and carrier ID. The problem with this issue is that you don't know your phone cannot revceive calls until you try to make a call - in the meantime missing any incoming calls.
I continue to be surprised that others are not having this problem. Perhaps it's the combination of SLVR and T-Mobile US that not many are using.
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm using an unbranded/unlocked SLVR L7 on T-Mo, and had no issues at all, with the same software version (R4513_G_08.B7.DCR_RB). That's what was installed on mine, I haven't updated/flashed it. So, I realize that's not much help, but I can confirm that it *can* work, as mine does.

I'm using an unbranded L7 on Att Wireless(Cingular) with no complaints. I noticed that Att signal made all the televisions in my house go beserk when I would be near them while the phone was ringing. I seem edited, making sure that the phone didn't have network type auto select enabled at startup. Changed my network settings to Band:Automatic Type:Manual Speed:Slow. After changing these settings the phone automatically searches for available networks and allows me to choose. This is where I choose the network that gives me the best overall quality. I have the roam triangle icon enabled so I know when I'm using the weaker network. To easily change back to the network I want to use, I created a shortcut to available networks, Menu+3. I know how ridiculous this may sound but, I rarely get a dropped call, sound clarity is excellent, and I'm at complete control of what network my phone is using because of my methods. With regards to your problem. I suggest you find out what network your phone uses when its at its best, e.g. 310-380. Follow my techniques and settings and I'm sure you'll be satisfied.
