I just received the 9300 in a warranty exchange for a busted 6682. Neat phone (but I do miss the speaker and camera) anyway, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to turn off the pda part. The phone turns off, no problem, but everytime I open the lid (even with the phone off), the pda part is on.
I am very tech savy, so, needless to say, I feel like a total idiot!!! Help.

the pda part is always on, assuming you mean the main screen. you have to take the battery out. to turn of all the way

OMG, thanks so much, I thought I was losing my mind! Doesn't that do a number on the battery life?

how is the web surfing on this thing???

With Mini Opera, surfing is pretty good. Even on just the Web it's not bad. It has a G in the corner, so I will assume that it does not have EDGE, but it's not bad. I figured out how to change the ring tones and I stumbled on the speaker too. Good reception. All in all, pretty good phone.

go to the menu button scroll to you get to the blue circles then you will see diffrent profiles click edit the you ready to change if you downloasd make sure you remember where you put it. if you want to make the built in web broswer faster go to settings (click menu) then change the cache from 600k (default) to like 3000 i have mine set to 10000 kicks ***. even with full html and heavy data page

How did you get approved for exchanging a Nokia 6682 for a Nokia 9300? Isn't the latter of might higher stature than the former?
Posted by: mobilemom
I don't know how that happened. All I wanted was a warranty exchange, but this is what they sent me. Actually, the 6682 has a camera and a few other features missing on the 9300, but I still like the 9300 a great deal.
