Anyway to flex without keypad working?

Razr v3 -Thoroughly wet,,bumped and bruised but working well for months until now. Keypad went out, inside and out, except for the on/off red key.
Never been flashed/flexed. But the dot inside is thoroughly red so even though its inside warranty prob wont pass for repairs of the keypad.
I try to get to the bootloader screen but it wont access it, just starts the phone. LEDS and LCD working fine.
Tried removing the battery for days, cannot access any functions.
Have been reading up on keypad flex but can't get to bootloader screen and rsd lite 2.3 wont recognize the phone. Am about to open 'er up and clean. Then, as a last resort, replace the keypad. Any way around the bootloader or other ideas?
