suncom phone for cingular

my friend has a crappy cingular phone and its on its last leg..i happen to have an old razor that is still in great condition and was going to give it to him..problem is i have suncom and she has cingular..what are the steps to making that phone work for her service..i know its more then jus her calling her service provider and having cervice sent to that phone

You have to unlock the phone then it will work since its gsm phone. Then all she has to do is put her sim card in and it should work.
